Our PU (push up) mast range and sectional mast range both remain enduringly popular with military organisations around the world. While they require additional resources and training for their successful use, the benefits of their design make them an invaluable and indispensable tool for these customers.

PU (Push-Up) Military Masts
Click on the below link to see the whole range of our PU Series masts including relevant accessories. Masts extend from 5 meteres to 11.4 metres and retract to 1.05 metres to 1.86 metres respectively.
The PU mast is a lightweight tactical telescopic communications mast which is man portable for rapid field use and can also be vehicle mounted. Unlike our other telescopic masts the PU mast does not use air to extend, but rather is manually extended with a unique cross pin providing the section locking.
Constructed from lightweight, high strength, anodised aluminium tube, the standard PU kit consists of 8 tube sections achieving extended heights from 5 to 12 metres.
The Type 72 sectional mast is the smallest of the Clark Masts sectional masts and lift headloads of up to 55kg at 8 metres in height and is fully rotatable.
Type 73 sectional masts have served military forces around the world since the 1970’s and set the standard for sectional mast systems up to 30 metres in height, lifting headloads of up to 90kg at 8 metres.
The Series 80 is a development of the Type 73 Mast System and is capable of supporting headloads of up to 150kg at 8 metres. Once fully extended, the tubular mast is supported at ground level by fully adjustable field legs and a universal ball joint. A rotation lever is operated to turn the mast and lock when the desired antenna direction is found.
The Series 90 sectional mast can lift loads of 300kg to 10 metres and 100kg to 40 metres with great stability and safety.Using a 4 legged erection gear and centrally controlled guying system at 90 degrees. A special version of the Series 90 can be supplied to extend to a height of 50 metres.
Sectional masts are fully portable mast systems that also do not require an air source; sections are fed up through a guide box on 3 adjustable legs using a geared hoist. These masts are capable of being transported to wherever there is a requirement, any where in the world, as they pack in a series of carry bags designed for 1-2 people.
Sectional masts are different to our telescopic masts in that each tube section is of the same diameter and locks into the next section. A secure guying system is essential for a sectional mast and Clark Masts have a range of specially developed guy winch control systems enabling large masts to be erected in the field by only a small number of people.
